Sweet Something’s Pastries is a locally owned and operated custom bake shop located
in the Gateway Technical College Elkhorn Campus, located in  Elkhorn Wi.   Sweet Something’s Pastries is bringing back the home made taste to your kitchen.

Just like Grandmother used to make. We provide both regular and low fat options to our
products. Also available are smaller, healthier portions for those who are looking to
enjoy a little less to satisfy their craving.

Sweet Something’s Pastries, owned and operated by Michael and Roseanne Mattefs
from the Kenosha/Racine area. Sweet Something’ Pastries started their business by
renting and managing the kitchen space inside the Homeless Assisted Living
Organization (HALO), located in Racine Wi. As the business grew, they moved out of
HALO and are currently running the Café, located inside the Gateway Technical College (South Building), in Elkhorn Wi. Not only do they still maintain the bakery business,
we supply the food service for the campus. This is considered a short order deli style
to provide breakfast, lunch and early dinner for both the staff and students at the
campus. The Café is also open to the public and any local business. Sweet Something’s Pastries also provides catering for some of the campus functions and meetings.

Sweet Something’s Pastries does do local farmers markets and craft fairs throughout the year.
They do seize the opportunity to use local farmers produce in the baked goods which in return,
this provides support for the local community.

Sweet Something's Pastries, has been named the cupcake champion at the 2013 Baking and Sweets Show, for their Margarita Cupcake. This was held in Schaumburg, Il. on Nov. 17, 2013, where the guest judge was Duff Goldman of Ace of Cakes fame, from the Food Network Channel.
